3/5/7/9/11 Days - Mussorie-Rishikesh-Jim

Corbett-Nainital-Bhimtal-Champavat

Mussorie – The proverbial queen of hill stations at an average altitude of 2000 mtrs with commanding views of the Shivalik ranges and Doon valley is a fairyland for tourists. Mussorie spread over a ridge offers views of the mighty Ganga from one end of the ridge and the jamuna river from the other end. It offers sprawling views of Dehradun – the gateway to Mussorie and the Garhwal region of Himalayas. Visit the Kempty Falls, Camel Back Road, Lal Tibba – highest point of Mussorie and Gunn Hill. Take a ropeway to snow view point from here. Go shopping at the Mall road here to find souveniers for friends & family back home.

Rishikesh - It is known as the TapoBhumi and stands at an altitude of 356 meters above sea level and along the river where the Ganges leaves the mountains and prepares herself to begin a long journey through the plains.Rishikesh is best center for Adventure Activities, Riverside Camping,White Water Rafting, Bungee/Cliff Jumping, Flying Fox, Zipline and Rappelling!!! We will be doing all of these at the leisure of staying on the banks of Ganga. See the section on Rishikesh Rafting/Bungee Adventour for more details.

Corbett – This trip isn’t complete until you visit the Jim Corbett Wildlife Reserve. The reserve is spread over 520sq.km and is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger under the project Tiger. You can choose the tour – 4 Wheel Jeep Safari or the Elephant Safari. The Corbett is also home to more than 650 species of birds, particularly Dhilaka. We can also visit the Garija Devi Temple or Dhangarhi Museum or spend some hours at the banks of river Kosi under the stars.

Nainital -The picturesque Naini lake is the heart of Nainital. Enjoy boating here by the evening and visit the beautiful Nainadevi temple, Chidiyagarh and Hanunmangarhi temple here. The Kaichi Temple, golf course at Ranikhet and a lake tour of Bhimtal and Naukuchiatal- boating tour will remind you of the scenes of Raja Hindustani which was shot here at Ranikhet. We move closer and closer to Himalayas as we head to our next destination Champavat – the land where the Himalayas and Nepal are visible from every room.

Champawat – Once the capital of erstwhile Chand Rulers, Champawat is steeped in history and is sure to excite the most demanding of travellers. It holds a great significance in Indian Mythology as it is said to be the place where Lord Vishnu reincarnated himself as a Kurmavatar- Tortoise. The Bhaleshwar temple of Lord Shiva here is carved out of a single stone and is highly worshipped during Mahashivratri. The temple of KranteshwarMahadeo is again a strong our recommendation for the view & photographs it provides.
