For folks who are interested in visiting the fort but do not want to get bothered with the climb, therer is a good news. A ropeway bus connects to the top. The base of the fort is also the lower station of the Raigad ropeway. There is a small museum with historic artefacts and also a restaurant at the lower station. If you are on a one day trip and not keen on trekking up, you could take the ropeway. Tickets just under Rs 200.

As this is one of the most famous fort around Maharashtra, its usually flodded with tourists, as well as tourist guides.
Raigad fort is just spectacular. The Trek is amazing if done in the night, its scary but safe. If you are planning to trek in the night, ensure that you have good flashlights with you. Beware of crawling creatures and if you need to stop, avoid sitting near any corners coz thats where most crawling creatures would be resting.
Not to Miss- Raigad Ropeway. The palace of Shivaji Maharaj to the right. Entry for common public to Raj Sabha was through the Nagarkhana. Holi Cha Mal, a wide open ground, used for annual Holi, is outside the Nagarkhana. In front of Holi Cha Mal, there is a well laid-out marketplace and Jagadishwar Temple. Adjacent to this temple, is the most revered place on Fort Raigad, the Samadhi of Shiv Chhatrapati.
