Irshalgad is located not very far away from Mumbai, a few kms from Panvel and we are already there. Watch out for Chowk railway station and turn in as soon as you spot it. The walk from Chowk railway station to the base of the trek is a pretty tricky business, you may get a share-a-rick which will promise you a return journey on the destined time of your return but may disappear. The walk from the railway station to the base is around 25mins from where the actual trek starts. The start is pretty easy and just a sweet ascend with a beautiful small dam on your right. This marks the start point of the beauty yet to follow. Located between many famous points around the same region like Karnala, HajiMalang, Matheran etc Irshalgad comes with natural beauty with no fortification of any sort. When you reach the top, you can witness a natural window created by erosion in the rocks known to locals by the name of Nedha.
Not to Miss- Beautiful view of your next adventure on all sides. Prabalgad towards the North. Manikgad, Karnala, Songiri visible on the West and Matheran hill range in the East. Patalganga river and small dam between Irshalgad and Matheran.
